Hannah Beard
RMT is a graduate from Utopia Academy in downtown Vancouver, BC. She recently moved out to Steveston and loves her new community.
Her interest in massage therapy stems from her enjoyment of helping people bring awareness to their body and how it functions. Seeing the effects of her work, in helping people feel better, brings her the ultimate reward. Her experience ranges from helping people achieve relaxation, eliminate stress, increase flexibility and recover from injury. She is constantly looking at ways to add new techniques and skills to her practice. She also has experience treating women with high risk and healthy pregnancies, patients with HIV/AIDS, cancer and cystic fibrosis, adults with Multiple sclerosis, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and spinal cord injuries.
In the Summer of 2011, Hannah won first place with her case report: "Increasing Range of Motion Through a Comprehensive Massage Therapy Treatment to Increase the Speed of the Golf Swing" through the Massage Therapy Association in BC.
